Gospel Light VBS SONROCK KIDS CAMP takes placeAugust 25th to 29th, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Perth (17 D’Arcy St.). This camp is for kids aged 3 to grade 7, daily from 9am to 12:15pm. The Annual LIONS CLUB GARLIC FESTIVAL takes place on Saturday and Sunday, August 9th and 10th, 2014, from 10am to 5pm both days, at the Perth Fairgrounds (the junction of Arthur and Halton Streets in Perth). Two days of glorious garlic make it chic to reek! Featuring food and food vendors, garlic and commercial vendors, a licenced refreshment tent, cooking demos and the ever-popular Birds of Prey demonstration for the whole family. Saturday, August 16th come to the 14^th Annual Watershed Discovery Day takes place at the Farmers Market, at Perth’s Crystal Palace, with something of interest and fun for all the family.  For the kids – hands-on activities and songs, while learning about our water and watershed, and the critters in it.  For the adults – updates on developments at our local lakes and rivers, and information on programs underway to study and manage them.  And don’t forget to browse the great produce, plants, food and crafts available at the Farmers? On August 13, come to the Perth Manor Boutique Hotel and Reception Facility for a delightful evening inspired by the city of love, Paris. Dinner and activities begin at 6pm sharp.

Come and see classic cars at the Lanark Highlands Classic Car Show on August 3 from 10am-2pm. All the fun will be at Clyde Memorial Park in Lanark.

If you have never been to the Perth Festival Challenge, then this is the year you should come! The Festival challenge is a winner takes all, combination of scavenger hunt/treasure hunt and word jumble that bring history to life. You get to tour the historical treasures of Perth and solve clues at the same time. 

The challenge runs Saturday, July 19 10:30am-12:30pm. Hosted by the Tay River Reflections Medical Spa and Fitness Centre. All proceeds go to the Lanark County Palliative Care Services.
