FREE CONCERT AT BACKBEAT BOOKS AND MUSIC

ID-100229093Backbeat Books and Music is excited to announce a very special celebration taking place the weekend of April 19 – 20 to celebrate Record Store Day and their 1rst re-birthday!

Saturday, April 19th is Record Store Day – a world-renowned day that promotes and celebrates the unique culture of record stores and the special role independently owned stores play in their communities. This culture encompasses the staff, customers and artists who all contribute to its success. Albums that are issued on Record Store Day are not made available to big-box retailers; they are distributed only to independently owned record stores, which encourages and promotes local shopping. Backbeat has ordered literally hundreds of albums, making for a very special shopping opportunity for both locals and tourists in the community.

This weekend is extra-special because it coincides with the shop’s “re-birthday” on Sunday, April 20th. Come out and enjoy the party and free concert here at the shop featuring well-known local musicians.

This is an open event that will attract attention to Wilson Street. Come by and celebrate!
