Festival of Good Cheer

Celebrations will be held at the Perth Museum as well where baked goodies and apple cider can be enjoyed. In the evening a fireworks display will illuminate the sky and the Christmas Tree Lighting at the Tay.

St Paul’s UCW Presents Yuletide Fair

Join us on November 23 for the  Yuletide fair and hot lunch. Doors open from 10am-1:30pm. Hot lunch to be served from 11am-1:30pm.

Tickets are $10, children 10- are free.

There will be a $5 bake and craft table. Crafts featured include knitting and sewing and more.

Tay River Watershed Day

September 14, 2013 is the 13th Annual Tay River Watershed Day at the Crystal Palace. In collaboration with the Perth Farmer’s Market. Come and enjoy the beautiful Tay River and all the delights of the farmer’s market. Watershed Day begins at 1pm.

Middleville Fair

Celebrate rural life with animals, flowers, fruits and vegetables at the Middleville Fair. Come out and enjoy crafts, baking, preserving, and all the fairs exhibits and competitions.

There will be  heritage displays of antique machinery and household items as well as old fashioned games and races for the children.

Dragon Boat Festival

Lanark County Harvest Festival

September 8 from 11am to 4pm come to Beckwith Park and celebrate harvest time with local producers. Take in a foraging for food seminar or workshop on growing and planting crops. Fun for the whole family with a live music, petting zoo, bouncy castle and much more.

Come out and celebrate one our great heritages, the Mica. While the stone itself may not be too exciting, our events are sure to be. We will kick off Heritage Mica Days with Tunes, Tales and Rusty Relics at Murphy’s Point on July 24. We have more summer events planned for the weekend of July 27-28.

There are also a series of summer concerts, starting with Pat Moore performing at Murphy’s Point Saturday August 3 at 8pm and Maple Hills Bluegrass Band at Murphy’s Point on August 31 at 8pm.

Do you love your dog, or dogs in general? Then this dog show is the summer fun you’ve been waiting for. Come down and see who will be taking home the Red Ribbon. The show is at the Valley Kennel Club and starts Wednesday, July 24 at 8am – 4pm.

Rideau Ferry Regatta

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you’ve been looking for some boating fun this summer, then come down to the Rideau Ferry Regatta at the Rideau Ferry Yacht Club on August 17-18. There will be vintage boat racing, fun competitions, and more. It’s a great way to spend the weekend with your family. Events include:

  • The six hour boat building competition. Teams of four build a canoe on the 17th and race their vessel on the 18th.
  • The toy boat shelter for kids includes a crafts for the kids, where they can build and paint their own boat as well.

To register your team for the boat building competition, come down August 16 between 5-8pm to the Rideau Ferry Yacht Club.
