Santa Clause Parade

ID-100297779The Annual PERTH & DISTRICT CHILDREN’S SANTA CLAUS PARADE OF LIGHTS takes place on Saturday, December 6th, 2014 leaving Sunset Blvd. at 5pm. The Parade will make its way south through Town (Wilson to Gore) with thousands of sparkling lights, Christmas music and favourite characters. Candle Making Open Studio

dipped candle 2Join us at the Jackalope Farm and Eco-Art Studio on October 25th from 10 am to noon for our candle making workshop.  We’ll be making hand dipped candles with bees wax. Each participant will make 2 candles.  We will also decorate them with coloured wax.

Cost is $15 per person.  Individual children, adults, families or groups of friends welcome. Please call ahead to reserve a spot. If this time slot doesn’t work for you consider booking a group activity with friends or family. You can choose from variety of art and craft activities.

Check out our weekly Open Studio runs from 10 am to noon.  This is a great time to come and try out a new technique or medium.  Individuals and groups always welcome.

School visits and fundraising activities are also available.

Film Night International

ID-100120294Film Night International presents a special showing of THE PAST, on Thursday, October 9th, 2014 at Full Circle Theatre in Perth, with shows at 2pm and 7pm.

There will also be a preview of THE GRAND SEDUCTION, on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2014 at the Full Circle Theatre, with show times at 2pm and 7pm.

The Full Circle Theatre is located at 26 Craig St. in Perth. A pass is $40.

Mark Twain’s Patent Scrapbook

The show runs October 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, at 8pm, and October 19, 26 at 2pm, at The Full Circle Theatre, 26 Craig St., Perth.

Performances by David Jacklin; A splendid orchestra is in town but has not been engaged. Magnificent fireworks were contemplated, but the idea has been abandoned. A grand torchlight procession may be expected; in fact, the public may expect whatever they please.

Perth Historical Society- Perth’s Shoe Making History

Perth Autumn Studio Tour

ID-10010495The Perth AUTUMN STUDIO TOUR takes place this October 11, 12, 13, 2014. 24 artisans and vendors will participate, opening their studios for tours over the Thanksgiving weekend. All exhibited work is for sale.

Sister City Heritage Ball

ID-100208272On the last Saturday in September of every year, the Sister City Committee hosts the annual Black-tie Heritage Ball in Carleton Place! This year the event lands on September 27. The Sister City Heritage ball is considered the “Social Event of the Year”. The evening includes jaw dropping decorations keeping with the theme of the year, dinner, dancing and entertainment.

Tickets are $150 each and include a gourmet meal, dancing and entertainment, and proceeds go towards the Sister City High School Student Exchange Program.
