Lyndhurst Turkey Fair

The 20th Annual Lyndhurst Turkey Fair will be celebrated on September 21, 2013 in the village of Lyndhurst, Ontario.

Once again, the fair will be well attended, as the entertainment is worth the trip to the village of Lyndhurst. Join us for Live Entertainment all day long, Free Voyageur Canoe Trips, Antique Car & Boat Show, Horse & Wagon Rides, the Quilt Show and Raffle, the Crafters’ Market, Children’s Activities, a Petting Zoo and Historical Displays.

183rd Annual Delta Fair from July 25 – 28

Get ready to celebrate at the Delta Fair, as the entertainment is all set. Bring the whole family to make great memories at this incredible fair. If you love amusement park rides, you will love that every day is kid’s day! If you purchase your pay-one-price and ride-all day vouchers before July 25th, it will only cost $25 ($35 when purchased at the fair). Other than the great rides and food, each day offers unique entertainment that you won’t want to miss.

Thursday, July 25th: Big Time Pro Wresting at 2 pm, Silly Sally the Clown at 1 pm and  3 pm, Texas Tuxedo at 7 pm and the Horse Putt at 7 pm.

Friday, July 26th: Little Ray’s Reptiles at 12 pm and 2 pm, Eddy & the Stingrays at 1 pm, Ry Guy Magic at 1 pm, 3 pm and 5 pm, and The STARS of Pop at 7 pm.

Saturday, July 27th: Lawn Mower Pull at 10 am, Little Players’ Theatre at 12 pm, 2 pm and 4 pm, Parade at 2 pm, and Kira Isabella at 7 pm.

Annual Garden Show

The Annual Garden Show will be
presented on August 24, 2013 at the Elgin Municipal Complex. This beautiful show is sponsored by the Rideau Lakes Horticultural Society and the competition is open to all members of the Rideau Lakes Township. For those participating in the competition, entries need to be placed in the hall between 7:30 am and 9:30 am. Then, doors will be closed for judging. At 2 pm, the doors will reopen for viewing. At 4 pm, winners will be announced.

Music in the Park

 

Come on down to Hanna Park on August 17th from 6:30 pm – 8 pm to enjoy great music in a beautiful atmosphere. Grab the lawn chairs and the whole family for this musical event sponsored by the Portland Community Hall Board.

2013 Lombardy Fair

The Lombardy Fair will be celebrated from August 2 – August 5, 2013 at the Lombardy Agricultural Society Hall. This fair is unique, as it is known for setting the pace for other local fairs. The Lombardy Fair provides warm hearted country hospitality, excellent entertainment, and enriching agricultural education. Celebrate the summer with produce and craft displays and the Agricultural Showcase all week and the Land of Lakes Tunis Shrine Clowns from Saturday – Monday.

On Friday, enjoy the Junior Fair Ambassador Contest and the Horse and Pony Pulls.

On Saturday, come on down for Western Team Penning and the Antique Tractor Pull.

Sunday is Kids’ Day with the Baby Show, the Local Boys’ 4×4 Pickup Truck and Licensed Modified Street Race, the Lawn Mower Races, and more Western Team Penning.

Monday will showcase the Mutt Show and the Demolition Derby.

Chaffey’s Lock Craft Market

This July 27, over 40 artists from all around will  congregate at Chaffey’s Locks from 10 am – 4 pm for an incredible craft market. This annual event is sponsored by the local heritage society and will occur rain or shine. If you would like to participate as an artist or would like more information, contact Lorie at muffet@rideau.net. Proceeds from this event will support Chaffey’s Locks and the Area Heritage Society.

Athens Steam Fair Farmsville Tractor Show

Annual Lansdowne Fair

Are you ready for a tractor pull, horse show, antique car show, the fair parade, contests to see if you are fair royalty, the annual toilet bowl race, the chainsaw challenge, the demolition derby and the talent show?
