Red Canoe FestivalThis coming May 17 come down to Seely’s Bay for the Red Canoe Festival. There are a series of canoe and Kayak events, fitness events, a fishing tournament, and tons of activities for the little ones.

Shop in the Red Canoe Open Marketplace, enjoy a pancake breakfast or meal at Volunteer Firefighters BBQ.

Sick Kids Benefit Dance

The Fabulous BelAirs and ART Audio have generously donated their time & services towards a Benefit Dance at the Toledo Legion.

In support of Kael – Age 6, who requires a Bone Marrow Transplant before his health deteriorates and his brother Eamon – Age 4, who is the donor. Surgery is tentatively scheduled for late October at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto.

So come on out and enjoy an evening of 50s & 60s entertainment at

Chaffey’s Lock Craft Market

This July 27, over 40 artists from all around will  congregate at Chaffey’s Locks from 10 am – 4 pm for an incredible craft market. This annual event is sponsored by the local heritage society and will occur rain or shine. If you would like to participate as an artist or would like more information, contact Lorie at Proceeds from this event will support Chaffey’s Locks and the Area Heritage Society.

Opinicon HotelThe annual Chaffey’s Lock Craft Market is celebrating its 31st anniversary on July 28, 2012 and attracts over 40 artists and craftsmen from near and far.

Visitors will enjoy the market styled ambiance of the day. Located right in Chaffey’s Locks, on the lawns of the Opinicon Hotel, on Saturday from 10am – 4pm rain or shine (preferably shine).
