Fairways Fashion Fun! Women’s Only Golf Classic

ceThe Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital (CPDMH) Foundation and Almonte General Hospital/Fairview Manor (AGH/FM) Foundation and are pleased to co-host their first joint fundraiser together with the Fairways, Fashion & Fun! Golf Classic on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at the Canadian Golf & Country Club.

This WOMEN’S ONLY event will be a day filled with golf, great shopping and fun – and all in support of women’s health care initiatives at both local hospitals. “Our two community hospitals already work in partnership in many ways to provide the best health care possible to the communities we serve,” said Robyn Arseneau, Manager of Fundraising at the CPDMH Foundation. “This is just another example of how working together benefits a greater number across our communities – and better still – shows how with our combined efforts we can host an event unlike any other we’ve ever done before!”

“We are excited to do a joint effort with the CPDMH Foundation for women because we think there is demand for such a tournament and an incredibly fun day,” added Gerry Huddleston, Executive Director at the AGH/FVM Foundation. “We are building on the success of our two premier mixed events which are held each year in June.”

For the $125 per person entry fee, 144 women golfers will receive 18 holes of golf with a cart, an exclusive Women’s Only golf club, lunch, dinner, live and silent auctions and swag bag. Unique to this event will be a marketplace where local business owners can showcase their goods for sale at their booth. There will also be a ‘Shopper’s Dream’ raffle, Hole-in-One prizes and great team prizes, including those for ‘Best Team Name’ and ‘Best Team Outfit &/or Decorated Cart!’ Act now if you want to be a part of this great day by calling the numbers to the right… this event has already proven to be popular
as golfer registration is almost full!

There are a number of sponsorship opportunities available to help promote local businesses and raise needed funds for the hospitals. Organizers are hoping to attract business owners who cater to women as shoppers and clients. There will also be a “Driving it
Home” donor wall featured at the event highlighting those who have made a $200 or more donation to the cause. All sponsorship and support received will be divided equally between the two hospital foundations; making your gift work harder and reaching further
than ever before!

Should you find yourself able to help the hundreds of women who visit our facilities annually; your gift will be acknowledged by both hospital foundations to over 20,000 homes through event specific articles in local newspapers, our hospital publications as well
as on the day of the event. You will also be featured on the CPDMH Foundation’s new MOBLIE APP: send a text “CPDMHF” to 84748 to get your FREE
APP and event details today!
