Making Bread  - many different kinds! with Alice Hinther 24th OctoberSaturday, October 24th from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m.

Are you intimidated by the idea of making your own bread? Join Alice Hinther for a fun-filled afternoon of bread making and learn how simple it really is! In this four hour session, you will learn how to make a basic white bread dough, cinnamon buns, pizza dough, whole grain bread, French bread as well as novelty shaped breads like Alice’s Alligator bread, meat stuffed buns, pizza buns and more!
 

Don’t eat before you come. Lunch is on us! Please bring a cookie sheet or storage container as you will be bringing home lots of goodies as well!

Wrap up your garden and get a good start for next year by learning how to make compost! Composting encourages beneficial organisms and gives your garden a healthy boost. We will have fun in this hands-on class and will learn about backyard and worm composting.
Facilitator: Sébastien Bacharach, a composting educator with over 10 years of experience.
Cost: by donation
Location: in Perth. Exact location given after sign up and a few days before the workshop.

This workshop is organised by the Permaculture Institute of Eastern Ontario.

2:30 pm – Convoy of Race Boats from Rideau Ferry to Crystal Palace in Perth for 3:00pm.
6:00 pm – Convoy returns to Rideau Ferry.

Saturday, August 15th

7:30 am to 8:30 am – Regatta Registration at RFYC Club House located at the Race Site.
8:30 am to 9:15 am – Mandatory Driver/Crew meeting at shelter beside the Club House.
9:30 am – Opening Ceremonies. 3 National Anthems – American, Austrailian & Canadian
10:00 am – 12:00 pm – Can-Am, Can-Am Light Racing and Vintage Fly-bys

The second show of our 2015 season is the gripping Frederick Knott thriller Wait Until Dark, a heart-thumping tale of a blind woman who must fend off a group of seedy drug dealers and thieves who have invaded her apartment using a variety of ruses. Later a beloved Audrey Hepburn film, the stage version features some of the most intense moments Broadway witnessed in the 1960s.
